Indiana State University
The Indiana State University Institute for Community Sustainability presents two activities in its new sensory garden. Painting in the Garden is set for 2:30-3:30 p.m. Aug. 1. Canvases and paint will be available to capture through art the scenes of the garden. Refreshments will served. A Sensory Garden Play Day is set for 10 a.m.-noon Aug. 3. Participants will build birdhouses, play games, be eligible to win prizes and more. Designed to engage all five senses, the sensory garden is a new addition to Indiana State’s community garden, located at 219 N. 11th St., Terre Haute. Both events are free and open to the public.
