![]() Wabash Valley Correctional Facility CARLISLE-- Greene County native and 22 year Wabash Valley Correctional Facility (WVCF ) veteran Eric Brewer has been promoted to Correctional Captain. Brewer has been part of the custody team since beginning his career as a Correctional Officer in November of 1993. He advanced to Correctional Sergeant in 1996 and to Correctional Lieutenant in 2003. During his time on the job Captain Brewer has worked hard to enhance his correctional and supervisory skills, completing Intermediate, Basic and Advanced Supervisory Training. He’s a 2015 Experienced and Emerging Leaders graduate, spent five years with the WVCF Emergency Squad (1st Squad Leader) and has served as a Coaching /Mentoring and Emergency Procedures Instructor. He served five years with the WVCF Fire Department. Captain Brewer has also been an active part of WVCF Employee Appreciation efforts. Assistant Superintendent/Operations Frank Littlejohn said, “Eric is not afraid to get his hands dirty either, helping to oversea our WVCF garden project, benefitting local food banks. As a Custody Supervisor he brings a sense of calming authority to the job, confident in his ability to solve problems. Eric communicates well and honestly with our staff, offender population and the public we protect and serve. “ Captain Brewer graduated from Linton Stockton High School in 1990 and earned an Associate Degree From Vincennes University in 1992 ( Welding Technology/General Studies).
