Crews responded to several emergencies in the area today as heavy rain showers, thunderstorms and wind gusts caused problems throughout the Terre Haute area. Emergency crews responded to power outages and downed lines, fallen trees and limbs and traffic emergencies. According to scanner traffic, Terre Haute Police and Fire Departments responded to several motor vehicle crashes. Duke Energy and Terre Haute Street Department worked to clear roadways of debris and restore power at many locations. At 8:30 p.m., 6,000 residents reportedly remained without power.
According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, scatterd showers will continue through tomorrow with some flooding expected. Comments are closed.
