Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Law Enforcement UPDATE-The victim that was recovered from Monroe Reservoir has been pronounced deceased. He has been identified as Scott Robinson, 30, of Indianapolis. The exact cause of death will not be determined until the completion of a post-mortem examination. Officers have learned from witness statements that Robinson was boarding a pontoon boat from the water, when he for some unknown reason, fell back into the water and did not surface. It is unsure at this time if a pre-existing medical condition came into play. More information will be made available once it has been obtained. -- BLOOMINGTON- Indiana Conservation Officers are on scene at Monroe Reservoir and are investigating were a man went under the water and did not surface. At approximately 5:57 p.m. this evening, authorities were dispatched to the area of Allen’s Creek on Monroe Reservoir for a person that had gone under the water and could not be located. Indiana Conservation Officers along with the Monroe County Dive Team arrived on scene and began searching for the victims utilizing sonar and divers. At approximately 7 p.m., the victim was located by Monroe County divers and immediately transported to IU Health Bloomington. The condition of the victim cannot be confirmed at this time. This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released once it is obtained. Indiana Conservation Officers were assisted on the scene by Bloomington Police Department, Monroe County Dive Team, Perry-Clear Creek Fire, Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and IU Health EMS.
