Food Inspections November 16 - 20, 2015 Taj-Mahal, 1349 S 3rd St (6 Critical, 4 Non-Critical) Tongs on oven door, veggie peeler and rolling pins found with built up debris; In several coolers various dals, gravies, potato samosa, rice pudding and other food not marked with date of consumption; Whipping cream left at room temperature (discarded); Base for gravies and dal made previous day found at 63 degrees not cooled within time limits (discarded); Found several uncovered employee drinks in kitchen; Fish pakora, vegetable pakora and chicken tandoori not properly marked with time to discard. Cheddar’s Casual Café, 4424 S US Hwy 41 (4 Critical, 3 Non-Critical) Found dirty knives and ladles hanging on racks; Baked potatoes in warming drawer found at 111 degrees and spaghetti meat sauce in warming cabinet found at 128 degrees – should be 135 or above (discarded); Bar handwash sink and kitchen handwash sink found dirty; Observed employee wash veggie dicer and knife in prep sink. Kroger J-981 & Fuel Center, 2650 Wabash Ave (3 Critical, 3 Non-Critical) Self-service soda nozzles found with debris; Handwash sinks blocked in meat and produce department; Roast beef, ham, pastrami and turkey breast incorrectly date marked (discarded). Maurizio’s Pizza of Terre Haute, Inc, 2940 Wabash Ave (3 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Mixer and plastic dough tubs observed with accumulated debris; Container of Italian beef in walk-in cooler not date marked; Sanitizer mixed with dish soap in middle basin of 3-bay. Kroger J-981 & Fuel Center, 4714 US Hwy 41 S (3 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Meat slicer in meat department found with old food debris, muffin pans found with encrusted debris; Cheese samples, crab legs and shrimp in seafood area found at 52-56 degrees – should be 41 or less; Sliced packaged cheese held longer than 7 days (discarded). Royal Mandarin Express, 43 Southland Center (3 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) Food Manager Certificate expired – scheduled to take test; Accumulated food debris observed on can opener (corrected); Spray bottle of oven and grill cleaner not labeled. Maurizio’s Pizza of Terre Haute, Inc, 5035 N Lafayette St (2 Critical, 5 Non-Critical) Dough tubs found with accumulated debris, mounted can opener observed with debris; Au jus and Italian beef not date marked. Papa John’s #90, 1234 Wabash Ave (1 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Pizza screens found with burnt on debris. McDonald’s #6131, 3032 Wabash Ave (1 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Soda fountain nozzles observed with accumulated debris. Wayne Newton Post 346 American Legion, 1346 Wabash Ave (1 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) Accumulated debris observed on bar soda nozzle holders and soda nozzles. First Wok, 2570 Wabash Ave (1 Critical) Metal bowls placed back on rack without sanitizing. Ruby Tuesday’s #7673, 3451 S US Hwy 41 (1 Critical) Employee observed dumping wiping cloth bucket water in handwash sink, spoon found in handwash sink.
