![]() A blaze broke out at a northside business, with at least a thousand pallets going up in smoke this evening. Also, two semi-trucks reportedly were damaged in the fire. Otter Creek Fire Department crews responded to Rosnett Semi-Trailer Sales, Repair and Leasing at 5052 N. 13th St.at around 5:30 p.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to Otter Creek Fire Department officials. UPDATE: According to an Otter Creek Fire Department press release: Crews were able to secure water sources from fire hydrants at Great Dane trailers (across the street from the incident) and a hydrant at 13th and Haythorne. Other fire departments assisted by bringing in water with tankers. Approximately 100,000 gallons of water was poured onto the fire over the course of nearly 4 hours. 13th st was closed for the duration of the incident. Otter Creek Fire was left the scene at 9:15 p.m. There was one injury reported as one firefighter suffered a cut to the hand. The firefighter was treated at Union Hospital and released. Otter Creek was assisted by Terre Haute Fire Dept, Seelyville, Sugar Creek, New Goshen and Shepardsville Fire Departments. Comments are closed.
