SR 159 closing Tuesday for railroad bridge repairs

One week closure is scheduled north of Lewis

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces State Road 159 will close north of Lewis Tuesday, April 5 for repairs to the railroad crossing located just over one mile north of State Road 246.   The roadway is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, April 12. 

The official detour follows S.R. 246 east to S.R. 59 north to S.R. 46 west and back to S.R. 159.  Traffic traveling in the opposite direction will use the same detour in reverse.

INDOT reminds motorists to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
