BLOOMFIELD – Recently, an offender work crew from the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility helped renovate the Shawnee Theatre located in Bloomfield. The offender work crew, comprised of six offenders worked diligently to remove 325 old seats, pressure wash the floors and paint. Additionally, they cleaned the new seating and installed it. When asked about the work crews, Jack Terrell, of the Shawnee Theatre, stated, “For the past several years, Shawnee Theatre of Greene County has benefited greatly from the hard work of the WVCF offenders. Their support has directly impacted our mission to bring quality professional theatre to an under-served region of Indiana for over 60 years. The WVCF offenders are always polite, professional and diligent in their duties.” WVCF has five offender work crews that provide assistance to Sullivan, Knox, Greene, Daviess, Vigo, Vanderburgh, Clay and Parke Counties.
