Wabash Valley Correctional Facility
CARLISLE -- Two Greene County residents have been promoted at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility (WVCF) , from Custody to Investigations! Barbara Brock has advanced to Intelligence Analyst 4. She’s been a Correctional Officer for 18 years, with several years spent monitoring offender phone calls for the Office of Investigations and Intelligence (OII). Ms Brock has completed several training classes during her WVCF career, including the Internal Affairs Academy and Data IQ. Steve Carpenter has promoted to Internal Affairs Officer 4. He began his career at WVCF in 1995 as a Correctional Officer before becoming a Recreation Leader in 1997. “Carp” returned to custody the following year, most recently deciding offender rule violation cases as a Disciplinary Hearing Officer. Both promotions become effective today. -- About the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility: WVCF is located north of Carlisle, Indiana in Sullivan County and began operations in 1992. An average daily population of 1,972 offenders is housed on the 340 acre site adjacent to U.S 41. Total capacity is 2,198 with 651 approved state staff positions including 524 custody and 118 contractual employees. Annual operating costs total nearly 38 million dollars. Comments are closed.
