Wabash Valley Correctional Facility
CARLISLE- A visit to the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility (WVCF) by an Indianapolis woman, ended with her arrest on drug and trafficking charges. Hiesha Jackson, 24, entered the facility shortly after 9:00 a.m. this morning for an offender visit. Instead she was met by WVCF Correctional Police for questioning, based on gathered intelligence. After initially refusing to cooperate with investigators Jackson turned over 13 balloons hidden on her person. 12 contained marijuana , 12.total. The 13th balloon had 10 orange strips identified as suboxone. Jackson was arrested and faces preliminary charges of Trafficking with an Inmate, a Level 5 felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Level 6 felony and Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor. WVCF Correctional Police transported Jackson to the Sullivan County Jail. Bond was set at $27,000. The offender Jackson planned to pass the contraband to has been placed in a restrictive status housing unit and will not be identified pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
