INDIANAPOLIS – Gov. Eric J. Holcomb today announced Chris Alan Wrede as his appointment to the Terre Haute City Court. Wrede succeeds Judge Sarah Mullican, who was elected to serve as judge of the Vigo County Circuit Court in November 2016. Wrede has extensive experience in both civil and criminal law. He has served as a deputy prosecutor with the Vigo County Prosecutor’s Office for the last 10 years, and before that he engaged in the private practice of law for seven years. Wrede also served with the Vigo County Drug Task Force, and he has a wealth of experience investigating and prosecuting drug offenses as well as issues involving search warrants, electronic surveillance, interviews and interrogations. He is 43 years of age and graduated with honors from Indiana State University and Indiana University School of Law. Wrede will be sworn into office on a mutually agreeable date to be determined.
