CARLISLE -- Marine Bravo Company 124’s mission to the Wabash Valley Correction Facility (WVCF) to benefit Toys for Tots was a huge success!
Major Jasen Hoffman and First Sergeant Deveen Davis met with members of Kyle Snyder American Legion Post 398, receiving a check for $2,000! The money will help buy Christmas gifts for 1,000 needy youngsters in both Vigo and Clay County. Major Hoffman thanked the incarcerated veterans for their donation telling them, “ At least two toys per child, will be delivered Dec. 15 in Vigo County and on the Dec. 18 in Clay County. Thanks to the generosity of the Kyle Snyder Post and many, many other donors, Toys for Tots raised $40,000 this Holiday season,” he added. The Kyle Snyder Post also presented Bravo Company 124 with a special Toys for Tots poster signed by 131 youngsters who attended the recent Fatherhood Fall Festival at WVCF. Post 398 and Sons of the American Legion Post 398 conduct facility fund raising events year round. This year they have donated nearly $7,000 to area charities and provided scholarships for Sullivan County students. Comments are closed.
