Wabash Valley Correctional Facility
CARLISLE- Kevin Allen, the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility (WVCF) Lead Criminal Investigator has accepted an expanded investigations role for the Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC). The Greene County resident has been promoted to the newly created position of Southern Regional Manager for the Investigations and Intelligence (OII) Division. Allen launched his IDOC career in 1995 as an Officer at the Plainfield Juvenile Correctional Facility. When it closed the following year he moved to the former Bloomington Juvenile Center where he was honored as the 1997 Officer of the Year. Mr. Allen joined the WVCF team in 2006, quickly promoting to Sergeant. He moved to the Office of Investigations and Intelligence in 2010, adding Security Threat Group Coordinator (STG) and by 2011, Correctional Police Officer (CPO) to his position titles. Allen’s investigative skills earned him WVCF Employee of the Year salutations in 2015. He also previously served as the facility PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) Compliance Manager. The OII Southern Regional Manager will now oversee divisions at seven correctional facilities, including WVCF and four parole offices. “Kevin has a wealth of knowledge and experience and we are pleased about his new role in our division,” said Todd Tappy, IDOC Executive Director of Investigations and Intelligence.
