Indiana Central News CLAY COUNTY - A single - vehicle crash on an icy Interstate 70 claimed three lives in Clay County Saturday afternoon. All three victims were from New Madrid, Mo., including:
Sgt. Matt Ames, of the Indiana State Police noted that one juvenile was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, as well. Emergency crews responded to westbound lanes of I-70 at the 24-mile marker just after 2 p.m. Ames said Glen Jackson was driving the 2004 Buick when, due to the ice on the road, he lost control of the vehicle. "The vehicle rolled several times before coming to an abrupt stop upon striking a tree," he said. Posey Township Fire Department, Jackson Township Fire Department, Cloverdale Fire Department, Clay County Coroner’s Office and multiple ambulance services assisted at the scene. Comments are closed.
