Indiana Central News VERMILLION COUNTY - A truck driver was injured when he crashed his semi into a creek in Vermillion County Wednesday afternoon. According to the Vermillion County Sheriff's Office, Timothy Miles, 59, of Marshal, Illinois, was extracted from the vehicle and Life Lined to Carle Hospital in Urbana, Ill., where he is listed in stable condition. Miles reportedly stated that he did not remember losing control of the vehicle and crashing. Vermillion County Sheriff’s deputies and emergency crews located the crash at the Dry Branch Bridge S.R. 63 near C.R. 350 N. around 4 p.m. Investigation revealed that Miles was northbound on S.R. 63, approaching the bridge, when his vehicle traveled straight through the curve, striking the bridge guardrail. The semi continued across the south bound lanes of traffic, crashing into the creek, according to the report. |
