![]() SULLIVAN COUNTY - A wanted Sullivan County man was tracked down in Bloomington this afternoon following a child molesting investigation. Aaron L. Lake, 45, was booked into the Sullivan County Jail around 2 p.m. He is charged with one felony count of child molestation. He remains held on a cash bond of $50,000. "Lake is alleged to have had numerous sexual encounters with a 13-year-old female acquaintance at his home during the months of June and July 2016," Indiana State Police Sgt. Joe Watts said, noting ISP Putnamville began the investigation after being contacted by the Indiana Department of Child Services in Sullivan County. The case was investigated by ISP Detective Angie Hahn of the Putnamville Post. Assisting were ISP Crime Scene Investigators from the Bloomington Post, Sullivan County Prosecutor’s Office, Indiana Department of Child Services Sullivan County and Susie’s Place Child Advocacy Center. ![]() A driver lost control of a bus in northern Vigo County this afternoon. crashing into a ditch. Vigo County Sheriff's Office and Otter Creek Fire Department crews were dispatched to the scene on Greencastle Road at about 2:40 p.m. According to scanner traffic, a woman bus driver had a deep laceration to a leg, which was pinned inside the vehicle. No children or other passengers were riding on the bus at the time of the crash. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. No further information is available at this time. |
