![]() SULLIVAN COUNTY - Indiana State Police troopers and Sullivan County Sheriff's Department deputies are at the scene of a bank in Farmbersburg, after an armed robber made off with an undisclosed amount of money this morning. Detectives and crime scene investigators are looking at evidence at First Farmers Bank located at 11612 N. US 41 in Farmersburg, where police believe the suspect fled the scene in a white car around 10:40 a.m. ISP Sgt. Joe Watts -- at the scene this afternoon-- said the bank robbery suspect is a white male, 5-feet and 8-inches to-5'-feet and 10-inches tall. Police believe he is in his 40's to 50's. .He was wearing a blue shirt, dark cap, silver handgun. "The suspect entered the front door of the bank, walked up to a female teller and handed her a note demanding money. In doing so, the suspect displayed a silver handgun of some type," Watts said. No other customers were inside the bank at the time. ISP Sgt. Joe Rutledge reportedly arrived at the scene immediately after the robbery and found that the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. During investigation, officers have described a possible suspect vehicle and possibly a blonde female accomplice. The vehicle is believed to be a late model four-door Nissan or Hyundai, clean appearance, with possibly minor driver’s side front damage. The case is being investigated by ISP Detective Angie Hahn. Assisting were ISP Crime Scene Investigator Sergeant Brandon Mullen, ISP Sergeants Joe Rutledge and Joe Watts, Sullivan County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Bill Snead, Sullivan Police Department, and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force.
