WORTHINGTON – Alicia Nelson, 34, of Bloomfield, suffered serious injuries while riding as a passenger on an ATV police say was driven by an intoxicated man.
Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the late night ATV crash that also resulted in the arrest of Jarred M. Conolty, 31, also of Bloomfield. He was booked into the Greene County Jail where he is charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. "Officers on scene smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Mr. Conolty," Conservation Officer Max Winchell said. According to the report, the victim is being treated for blunt force trauma injuries to her face, lacerations and possible internal injuries. ![]()
The crash occured when the 2003 Polaris four- wheel ATV rolled backward while climbing a steep embankment, Winchell said, explaining that Conolty called 911 at about 11:20 p.m. yesteday. He reportedly informed officers that he had been involved in an ATV crash and that Nelson was injured.
The crash occurred in a wooded area behind the residence at 4443 W. 550 N., Worthington, Indiana. Nelson was taken to a Bloomington hospital for treatment. Comments are closed.
