![]() Emergency crews responded to a two-vehcile crash involved a camper and an INDOT vehicle this morning on Interstate 70 in Vigo County. One driver, Harrell RayCook, 72, of Hale, Mich, was reportedly transported to Terre Haute hospital for treatment of a medical condition and not injuries. He was cited for failure to move over for highway maintenance vehicle. The other driver, Christopher Lashbrook, 41, of Marshall, Ill., was not injured. Indiana State Police troopers and members of the Terre Haute Fire Department responded to the crash in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near the 7.5 mile marker at 11 a.m. According to ISP Sgt. Joe Watts, a white 1991 camper, driven by Cook, failed to his reduce speed and/or move into the left lane, striking a yellow 2006 International dump truck pulling an impact reducing safety device in the rear. Watts noted thatThe INDOT vehicle, driven by Lashbrook., was stationary. Indiana Department of Transportation employees were conducting routine highway maintenance in the westbound lanes with all required warning signage and electronic arrow boards in place.
