Crash injures 2 in eastern Vigo County;1 airlifted to Indy

One person was transported by medical helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital for serious injuries suffered in  two-car crash in eastern Vigo County tonight.

The head on collision between a red Ford Mustang and a black Ford pick-up truck happened about 6:30 p.m. 

Lost Creek Fire Department personnel, Vigo County Sheriff's deputies and TransCare responded to the scene east of the intersection at Chamberlain Road and U.S. 40. The crash is under investigation at this time, and victim information has not been released from officials. The driver of the truck was heard saying his age is 21.

All lanes of traffic were closed for more than an hour.
