Developing at this time: Reports of guns, battery

Information is very limited at this time, as the following cases are being investigated:

• A man was found with a gunshot wound in southern Vigo County tonight at about 6 p.m. on Elk Street.

• At around 6:15 p.m. Central Dispatch received reports of a man waving a gun around at Voorhees Park in Terre Haute .

• Emergency crews were at the scene where a woman was severely battered across from Voorhees Park on Jefferson Street. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

• Reports of a man waving a gun on Walnut Street at about 7 p.m. from an yellow Beetle.

These stories are developing at this time and the injuries and arrests are not known. No further information was available at 8  p.m. today.
