![]() SULLIVAN COUNTY -- Both facing battery charges stemming from a Hymera Town Hall incident in December, a father and son duo were booked into the Sullivan County Jail this afternoon. Indiana State Police Detectives served a Sullivan County arrest warrant on Darrick R. Cullison, 41, and Destin R. Cullison, 20, both of Hymera. The two Hymera residents were taken into custody, each charged with one count of misdemeanor battery with bodily injury. Bond is set at $4,000 each with 10 percent allowed. The eldest Cullison currently works as Town Marshal of Hymera. According to ISP Sgt. Joe Watts, the investigation began on Dec. 8, 2015 when a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation when the Cullisons allegedly attacked the male victim at a public town council meeting in Hymera. "During the ensuing investigation, ISP detectives were able to develop probable cause alleging Darrick Cullison (father) and Destin Cullison (son) committed battery on 69-year-old Daryl McCullough of Hymera, Ind., during the meeting," Watts stated in a press release. The case was investigated by ISP Detective Tony Guinn. Assisting at various times were ISP Detective First Sergeant Jason Fajt, ISP Detective Sergeant Sam Stearley, ISP Detectives Don Anglin and Michael Featherling, and Trooper Nicole Cheeks, and the Sullivan County Prosecutor’s Office.
