Indiana Central News PUTNAM COUNTY - Six people were injured in an Interstate 70 crash in Putnam County this afternoon, four of whom are state workers. According to Sgt. Matt Ames, of the Indiana State Police, investigation revealed that John Sadler, 39, of Reelsville, was driving an Indiana Department of Transportation truck. He reported that he saw Aaron L. Cass, 40, of Bowling Green, traveling westbound when he lost control of the pickup truck and sped into the emergency lane where the INDOT truck was located with lights activated. It then struck the INDOT truck in the rear, causing it to flip over. The two-vehicle accident occurred in the westbound lanes near the 48.5 mile marker just before 3 p.m, as The INDOT workers were performing road maintenance in the area. An occupant of an Indiana Department of Transportation truck was transported to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, and three other occupants were transported to a hospital in Terre Haute. Cass and a passenger in his vehicle suffered injuries from the accident and were transported to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis by an air ambulance. None of the injuries are believed to be life threatening. Cass was cited for unsafe lane movement. Comments are closed.
