Indiana Central News PUTNAM COUNTY -- A Brownsburg man was arrested after crashing his vehicle on Interstate 70 while allegedly driving impaired this afternoon in Putnam County. Kayleb M.T. Brissey, 23, was booked into the Putnam County Jail for felony operating while intoxicated and misdemeanor reckless driving after first being transported to the Putnam County Hospital, where he was treated for a minor head wound. Indiana State Police Sgt. Joe Watts said a presumptive test indicated Brissey was .214 BAC. Other chemical test results are pending at this time. ISP troopers and Putnam County emergency agencies responded to the one-vehicle crash in the eastbound lanes of I- 70 near the 40.5 mile marker around 12:30 p.m. According to the report, Brissey was eastbound in a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria, when he lost control and struck the guardrail on the south edge of the roadway. "The Ford Crown Victoria then spun into the roadway barely striking a large box truck," Watts said, noting the driver of the box truck was not injured and no tickets were issued. Troopers were alerted regarding a reckless driver headed eastbound out of Clay County just before the crash occurred. The suspect vehicle reportedly matched the description of Brissey's vehicle. The crash was investigated by ISP Master Trooper DuJuan Presley-McFadden. Assisting were ISP Senior Troopers John Myers and Ryan Winters, Putnam County Operation Life, Cloverdale Fire/Rescue, and Cloverdale Police Department. Comments are closed.
