UPDATE 6/19/17 -An investigation into the May 19 deaths of Jerry Foster, 71, and Joy Sanders, 58, both of Clinton, is complete after autopsy results have been released.
Their cause of death: Jerry Foster -- Pharmacologic Overdose. Joy Sanders -- Pharmacologic Intoxication. According to ISP Sgt. Joe Watts, the autopsies were performed at Terre Haute Regional Hospital by Pathologist Dr. Roland Kohr, shortly after their bodies were discovered in the Clinton apartment. --- UPDATE 5/22/17 - According to Trooper BJ Patterson, of the Indiana State Police, a positive identification has been established of the deceased: 71-year-old Jerry C. Foster of Clinton, and 58-year-old Joy A. Sanders also of Clinton. An autopsy was conducted May 19, on the deceased found at 528 S. Main St. in Clinton. The autopsy was conducted at Terre Haute Regional Hospital by pathologist Dr. Roland Kohr. -- UPDATE 5/1917- According to Trooper BJ Patterson, of the Indiana State Police, positive identification of the deceased man and woman.is still pending at this time. He said the deceased male is believed to be in his 70s and the deceased female is believed to be in her 50s, adding that results of the autopsies will not be released until the toxicology results are complete. -- By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News VERMILLION COUNTY -- An investigation is underway after the discovery of a dead man and woman in a Clinton apartment today. Crews were alerted to the Clinton Chateau apartment complex, located at 528 Main St.at about 11 a.m. Indiana State Police Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are at the scene and have not ruled out foul play at this time. ISP Trooper B.J. Patterson explained that detectives are currently conducting interviews to determine what happened and obtained a search warrant for the residence, where the detectives located two bodies. Autopsies are scheduled for tomorrow morning at a Terre Haute hospital. --- ISP Detective Don Anglin is the lead investigator. Assisting at the scene were ISP Detectives Sgt. Sam Stearley, Michael Feathering, Tony Guinn, 1st Sgt. Jason Fajt, and Troy Cobb. ISP Crime scene investigators Sgt. Brandon Mullen and Sgt. Jim Cody were also on scene. Also assisting were the Vermillion County Coroner’s office, Clinton Police Department, and the Vermillion County Prosecutors office. Comments are closed.
