![]() VERMILLION COUNTY-- Three Vincennes residents were booked in the Vermillion County Jail Sunday evening on drug charges after an Indiana State Police trooper stopped the vehicle for speeding.
According to the report, Indiana State Police Trooper Chuck Murphy stopped a silver 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix for 75 miles-per-hour in a 60 mph zone on southbound S.R. 63 just south of US 36 around 5 p.m. "During discussions with the occupants, Trooper Murphy noticed what appeared to be the odor of burnt Marijuana inside the car. A search of the vehicle yielded approximately (11) grams of suspected heroin under the front passenger seat," Indiana State Police Sgt. Joe Watts said, adding, "A subsequent search of the occupants netted approximately two grams of suspected Marijuana in the clothing of the front seat passenger. The driver refused a chemical test for intoxication." Assisting Trooper Murphy were ISP Master Troopers Ty Lightle and John Goldner. Comments are closed.
