Brown, the victim of the shooting that occurred at the Carlisle Plaza on Monday, July 13, 2020, passed away at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. The suspect, Susan J. Brown, 65, is now charged with murder. ---- By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News SULLIVAN COUNTY - A Carlisle woman is facing a charge of attempted murder after allegedly shooting a man during an argument outside a gas station Monday evening. Susan J. Brown, 65, was booked into the Sullivan County Jail Tuesday. She is charged with attempted murder, a level one felony. Indiana State Police Sgt. Curt Durnil explained that Faran D. Brown, 59, also of Carlisle, suffered a gunshot wound after he came out of the gas station on Old U.S. 41 South in Sullivan County. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries. According to the report, Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom contacted the ISP to request assistance in the case, after arriving on scene just before 8 p.m. Investigation revealed the suspect and victim had an a dispute in the parking lot, just before the suspect allegedly fired a handgun. The weapon was later recovered at the scene. Additonal information was not available, including the relationship of the suspect to the victim. Susan Brown remains held in the Sullivan County Jail on $50,000.00 cash bond only. Comments are closed.
