 Garrett Law enforcement officers have arrested a third suspect they believe was connected to a recent local armed robbery.
According to a press release from the Vigo County Sheriff's Office, Daekwon Garrett , 17, was taken into custody yesterday afternoon at around 3 p.m. on an arrest warrant filed by the VCSO. The U.S. Marshal’s Service arrested Garrett inside an Indianapolis residence. “This last arrest was due to hard work by the Sheriff’s detectives and great inner agency cooperation with the Terre Haute City Police and the US Marshal’s Office,” Chief Deputy John Moats said. On Jan. 13, deputies responded to a call where a victim reported being forced into a vehicle at gunpoint. Garrett is reportedly one of the suspects and is facing charges of robbery, kidnapping, and criminal confinement "The victim then stated that three black males robbed him and forced him to another residence in Terre Haute where the three suspects were alleged to have continued on to rob more victims at gunpoint," Moats said. Local law enforcement later located the suspects who then led police on a vehicle pursuit. Josef Cannon and Adrian Green were arrested for possession of firearms. The third unknown suspect who fled was later identified by detectives as Daekwon Garrett. Garrett is scheduled to appear in Vigo County Div. 3 court this morning. Comments are closed.
