![]() PUTNAM COUNTY -- A commercial driver was arrested for illegal drugs and fraudulent cards after a traffic stop on Interstate 70 late this morning. Martiros Nalbandyan, 35, of North Hollywood, Calif., was booked into the Putnam County Jail. He is charged with: Possession of heroin (felony); forgery (felony); fraud (felony); possession of marijuana (misdemeanor); possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor); and maintaining a common nuisance (misdemeanor.) Indiana State Police Trooper Yan Dravigne stopped a Volvo tractor-trailer combination for an unsafe lane movement on eastbound I-70 near the 50 mile marker at around 11:30 a.m. According to Sgt. Joe Watts, Trooper Dravigne noticed indicators of possible criminal activity during conversation with the suspect. "A search of the vehicle yielded approximately two grams of suspected Marijuana, four and a quarter grams of suspected black tar Heroin, and 14 fraudulent credit cards containing stolen credit card numbers, all concealed in various areas of the truck cab," Watts said.
