![]() A suspect has been arrested in connection to a local bank robbery after allegedly striking other banks as well. Detectives from the Terre Haute Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Stephen M. Lee, 49, of Bloomington, regarding the robbery at the Terre Haute Savings Bank located at 1820 Lafayette Ave. Bank Feb. 5. Lee was arrested, in Bloomington, after officials say he also robbed a bank in Columbus, Ind. ![]() "Mr. Lee has since been linked to other bank robberies in Columbus, Bloomington and also to this one in Terre Haute," THPD Sgt. Michael Ellerman said this afternoon. Ellerman explained that the suspect is currently being held in the Bartholomew County Jail and once his charges have been resolved there he will be transported to Vigo County to face a a Level 5 felony charge of robbery in Div. 1 Court.
