Joe Watts said, noting that Curry and three teenage passengers were medically evaluated at the scene and released." ![]() PUTNAM COUNTY— A Reelsville woman was treated for injuries suffered from crashing head-on with a school bus near U.S. 40 this afternoon in Putnam County. According to Indiana State Police Sgt. Joe Watts, Brandi Brown, 30, was extricated from her car and transported to a hospital in Brazil for treatment of shoulder and back pain. She was cited for left of center and having no financial responsibility. ISP and Putnam County emergency agencies responded to the two-vehicle crash on CR 800 W. just north of U.S. 40 around 3:30 p.m. Reportedly, Brown was driving a 2005 Lincoln LS and was southbound heading over a hillcrest as bus driver Phyllis M. Curry, 71, of Brownsburg was northbound in a 2012 Thomas brand school bus from the South Putnam School Corporation at the same location. "As the vehicles reached the hillcrest, the Lincoln appeared to be left of center and collided head-on with the bus," Watts said, noting that Curry and her three teenage passengers were medically evaluated at the scene and released. The crash was investigated by Trooper James Crisp. Assisting were ISP Lieutenant Brent Johnson and Troopers DuJuan Presley-McFadden and John Myers, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Putnam County Operation Life, and Reelsville Fire/Rescue.
