By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News SULLIVAN- A Sullivan man and woman were arrested on multiple charges and nearly a half a pound of methamphetamine was seized after police responded to a report of an unwanted guest last week. Booked into the Sullivan County Jail: Logan Berg, 24, was charged with dealing methamphetamine - a level two felony; dealing Schedule I synthetic cannabis - a level two felony; dealing controlled substance - a level 3 felony; dealing marijuana - a level 6 felony; possession of methamphetamine - a level 3 felony; possession of a Scheduled 1 synthetic cannabis; possession of paraphernalia; possession of a schedule 5 controlled substance; possession of paraphernalia; possession of a Schedule 4 control substance – a level 3 felony; and resisting law enforcement - a class A misdemeanor. His bond is $190,000 with 10 percent allowed. Deana Goble, 24, was charged with possession of methamphetamine- a level 3 felony; possession of a synthetic cannabis - a level 6 felony; dealing in methamphetamine – a level 2 felony; dealing in marijuana – a level 6 felony; dealing in a controlled substance – a level 2 felony; possession of a schedule 1 controlled substance -a felony; and possession of paraphernalia - a misdemeanor. Her bond is $90,000, cash only. According to Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom, a search warrant was ultimately obtained for the unwanted guest's (Berg's) residence on N. Main Street in Sullivan. The search yielded:
Patrolman Mitchell Eberhardt, Sheriff’s Lt. Bill Snead and Indiana Conservation Officer Dustin Cary were dispatched to N. State Street residence in Sullivan last Wednesday, around 12:45 p.m. Berg reportedly had left the residence prior to the officers' arrival. When officers went to speak with Berg at his N. Main Street residence, regarding not being allowed back at the other residence, they allegedly noticed a strong odor of marijuana emitting from where they were standing at the front door, Sheriff Clark Cottom explained. Goble was inside the home with Berg at the time. The suspects were reportedly consenting to a search of the residence, when Berg suddenly fled from the scene on foot. Cottom said he was located hiding in a shed, just a few blocks west of his residence, a short time later. Officers from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, the Vigo County Drug Task Force, and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration assisted Sullivan City and County Police with the investigation.
