Indiana Central News SULLIVAN COUNTY- Early this morning, the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office arrested a juvenile in connection to alleged threats made towards students and staff at a Dugger school.
The 12-year-old girl was taken into custoday just before 1 a.m., after allegedly making the online threats. Charged with felony Intimidation, the suspect was transported to the Sullivan County Sheriffs Office, awaiting transfer to Southwest Juvenile Detention Center in Vincennes.
According to the report, officers sorted through multiple tips leading to the girl's Shelburn residence. Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom said he was assisted last night by Deputy Eric Valdez and Dugger Town Marshal Justin Todd. "Investigators believe the juvenile is responsible for authoring and transmitting multiple threats via Snapchat," Cottom explained, noting that no weapons or credible means to carry out the threat were found. "Officials will handle all such threats as if they are real. We are not going to put up with it, Cottom said. Cottom reportedly has detailed staff to assist the Dugger Town Marshal with foot patrol at Dugger-Union Community Schools today to assure safety at the school. Comments are closed.
