Single- vehicle crash injures 1

A  Florida man was hospitalized early this morning after a single vehicle crash on Interstate 70.

Daron A. Holt, 41,a passenger in the vehicle,  complained of left leg pain and was transported to a   Brazil area hospital for medical treatment, according to Chief Deputy John Moats, of the Vigo County Sheriff's Office.

Vigo County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 14 mile marker on I- 70 East for the motor vehicle crash with injuries at about 4 a.m.

The driver, Rhonda Holt, 46, was  eastbound on I-70 when her vehicle drifted off the roadway causing her to overcorrect and collide with a concrete barrier, Moats said, explaining that the vehicle then crossed the lane and struck a guardrail.

Both parties were wearing seatbelts and airbags did deploy.
