DUGGER – A burglary suspect is in jail after investigators were able to identify him with surveillance photos. Scott Smith,37, of Dugger was booked into the Sullivan County Jail, where he is charged with burglary, a level 5 felony, and theft, a class “A” misdemeanor. His bond was set at $23,000, with 10 percent allowed. Smith allegedly broke into a Dugger home, stealing tools and building materials. Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom said that Investigators used surveillance photos to identify and arrest the suspect. They also had received several tips after his photograph was shared on social media. Cottom said others might be involved. "This is a continuing investigation, as officials work to recover the stolen items, as well as identify co-conspirators," he said.
