![]() A Terre Haute man was transported to a local hospital for multiple life-threatening injuries he suffered when his car ran off a roadway and into a pole today. Indiana State Police and Vigo County emergency agencies responded to a crash on US 40 near Hunt Road for the one vehicle crash. According to ISP Sgt. Joe Watts, a red 2004 Chevrolet, driven by 64-year-old Harold R. Frey, was westbound on US 40 and traveled left of center across the eastbound lanes. “The red Chevrolet continued off the south side of the roadway and into a utility pole,” Watts said, noting that a medical issue could have caused the crash. The crash was investigated by ISP Master Trooper Jason Schoffstall. Assisting were Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, Lost Creek Township Fire/Rescue, Trans Care EMS, and Edington’s Wrecker Service.
