-- Officers from the Terre Haute Police Department are at the scene of a bank robbery on the north side. The robbery suspect has fled on foot from the Terre Haute Savings Bank on Lafayette Avenue, near Fort Harrison Road at around 2:30 p.m. THPD Chief Shawn Keen said the suspect is described as a white male wearing a green jacket and ball cap. The suspect allegedly presented a note to the teller demanding money. "During the encounter, witnesses indicated the suspect kept his hands in his pockets, and fled with an undisclosed amount of money westbound on foot.," Keen said. The Terre Haute Police Department Crime Lab is processing the scene. The investigation is underway at this time. ICN will update this as information becomes available.
