Indiana Central News PUTNAMVILLE — Two suspects were arrested following a traffic stop yesterday on Interstate 70 in Putnam County after a trooper found they possessed fraudulent credit cards.
The Indiana State Police Trooper reportedly stopped the 2018 Nissan Maxima for speeding and erratic passing on eastbound Interstate 70 near the 35 mile marker around 4 a.m. Sgt. Joe Watts explained today that Smith produced a fake identification card to the trooper, adding that information ultimately was developed that led to a search of the vehicle. Inside the vehicle and in the suspects' possession were:
"The fake cards were believed to have been used at various locations in the states of Illinois, Kentucky and Missouri," Watts said. Deputies from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene. Comments are closed.
