Indiana Central News CLAY COUNTY - A local teen is dead after a crash with a pickup truck in Clay County Saturday morning. Rylee Rogers, 16, of Brazil, was dead upon emergency crews' arrival. She was a student at Northview High School. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to CR 800 N and SR 59 just before 7 a.m. Investigation revealed that Kent D. Lawson, 53, of Terre Haute, was northbound on SR 59 in a black 2018 Dodge Ram when Rodgers' 2007 Chevrolet Malibu veered into his lane. He told officers that the victim appeared to be looking down when the crash occurred. According to the report, the Malibu sustained significant front-end damage. The truck sustained driver's side damage and a flatbed trailer had flipped over on to its side. Comments are closed.
