Indiana Central News SULLIVAN COUNTY - A mother and her child are dead following a two-vehicle crash in rural Sullivan County Tuesday morning. Deceased:

Ashley and Grace Hedden were dead at the scene, Sgt. Matt Ames, of the Indiana State Police, said. Emergency crews responded to the crash between a pickup truck and passenger vehicle at the junction of County Road 300 North and County Road 350 West around 7:20 a.m. According to the report, Ferree was traveling southbound on County Road 350 West in a 2021 in a Dodge pickup truck. Ames explained that Ferree failed to yield at the posted stop sign located on the northbound side of the junction. "He continued southbound, forcefully striking a 2008 Lincoln driven by Hedden, traveling eastbound," Ames said. Both vehicles went off the roadway, with the Lincoln rolling onto the driver’s side. Assisting Agencies: Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, Sullivan County Coroner’s Office, SCAT ambulance service, Sullivan City Fire Department, Sullivan City Police Department andTurman Township Volunteer Fire Department.
