WEST TERRE HAUTE -- Two West Terre Haute residents were arrested after troopers found meth, marijuana and related paraphernalia this afternoon.
George E. Cheesman, 50, and Mary E. Marshall, 43, were both booked into the Vigo County Jail just after 3 p.m. The male suspect is charged with possession of methamphetamine; maintaining a common nuisance; and possession of paraphernalia. The female suspect is charged with dealing methamphetamine; possession of methamphetamine; possession of paraphernalia; maintaining a common nuisance; and dealing marijuana. Indiana State Police troopers from the Putnamville District Meth Suppression Unit descended upon the residence at 360 W. Taylor Drive to investigate community tips alleging possibly methamphetamine activity at the home, Trooper Patterson said. "During the investigation, troopers could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence. Upon further investigation 15 grams of suspected methamphetamine was discovered," Patterson said, adding that troopers also discovered about 2 grams of marijuana.
The case was investigated by ISP Meth Suppression Troopers B.J. Patterson, Shilo Raulston, and Adam Edwards. Assisting were Vigo county Drug task force, and West Terre Haute Police Department.
