A Vigo County man was arrested this morning following a child pornography-related investigation by Indiana State Police.
Levi David Black, 20, of Fontanet, was booked into the Vigo County Jail at around 11 a.m. He is reportedly facing undetermined counts of possession of child pornography, as charges are pending at this time. "Investigators initially located approximately 100 images of child pornography on Black’s electronic devices [ at the northeastern Vigo County residence,]" Sgt. Joe Watts said, adding that further examination may reveal more evidence and charges at a later date. Indiana State Police Detectives with the ISP Cyber Crimes and Internet Crimes Against Children Units, served the Vigo County search warrant at Black's at 9796 North Baldwin Street address, according to Watts. The case originated from information developed by NCMEC (National Center for Missing and Exploited Children,) with the information then forwarded to the ISP Internet Crimes against Children (ICAC) unit. The lead investigator was ISP Detective Ginger Marshall of the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. Assisting were multiple detectives from the ISP Internet Crimes Against Children and Cyber Crimes Units, a trooper and detective from the Putnamville District, and the Vigo County Prosecutor’s Office.
