A local hospital anesthesiologist, John T. Trump, 60, has succumbed to injuries suffered in a small plane crash that occurred less than two weeks ago in north Terre Haute.
Trump is still listed in the Terre Haute Regional Hospital online physician directory at this link https://regionalhospital.secure.ehc.com/physicians/detail.dot?npi=1104973056; however an obituary for the doctor was published in today's Herald -Leader in Lexington, Ky. The now- fatal crash happened Aug. 25, as he and another occupant on the single-engine plane -- also a physician at Regional Hospital-- Patrick O'Neill -- were flying near Sky King Airport and crashed into a house on Rosehill Avenue. No medical update on O'Neill has been provided at this time. Trump reportedly was a resident of Lexington. He is survived by his wife, Patty Gross Trump and several children and grandchildren. According to his obituary, a Michigan native, Trump was a U.S. Air Force veteran and also served in the Kentucky Army National Guard, retiring as a colonel in 2004. His funeral is Wednesday.
