As last minute shoppers were scampering to buy Christmas gifts at a busy southside store, quick acting police made a traffic stop nearby as suspects with a car packed full of allegedly stolen merchandise fled in a vehicle tonight.
Indiana State Police, assisted by Vigo County Sheriff's Office deputies, stopped the gold -colored passenger car on South U.S. 41, outside of the Southwood subdivision just after 5:30 p.m. --- minutes before Walmart closed early for Christmas Eve business hours. Officers were observed carrying several large bags of allegedly stolen property from the vehicle.
Both suspects have been released from the jail on their own recognizance. Comments are closed.
