![]() Two juveniles were held at gunpoint by an unknown suspect who attempted to steal their vehicle last month, according to Terre Haute Police Department Sgt. Denzil Lewis. The suspect reportedly entered the victim’s vehicle and attempted to drive it away, but ended up fleeing on foot from the scene on the night of April 16 around 10:30 p.m. "The Terre Haute Police Department arrived moments after the incident. Despite having several officers in the area at the time of tracking the suspect, the suspect was able to get away with the track of the suspect ending in the 3500 block of Stacey Avenue," Lewis said today. Terre Haute Police investigators are seeking information on the suspect, who is described as a white male cigarette smoker. He is believed to be about 6-feet tall, weighing around 170 to 180-pounds, with a slender build. "Witnesses added that the suspect had an overall dirty appearance with strong body odor and dirty teeth," Lewis said, noting that It is likely that the suspect is still in this area and knows this area. Lewis said the suspect has short light brown hair with tight curls (Curly on top with very short hair on sides of head.) His right ear is pierced and was observed to have a purple half hoop or crescent type earring.
