![]() Two suspects were booked into the Vigo County Jail after leading a police K9 unit on a chase on the north side of Terre Haute early yesterday morning. Terre Haute Police Department uniformed officers reportedly attempted to pull the suspect vehicle over after the driver allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign at North 22nd Street and Sixth Avenue just after 3 a.m. The driver, Zachary A. Edington-Hensley, 21, had active warrants for escape, intimidation, and criminal recklessness with a weapon. Edington-Hensley was additionally charged with felony and misdemeanor resisting law enforcement, and driver never licensed. The back passenger of the suspect vehicle was located in the vehicle and identified as Jared E. Johnson, 18. Johnson was charged with misdemeanor resisting law enforcement. According to THPD Public Information Officer Ryan Adamson, the vehicle accelerated at a high rate of speed in an attempt to flee officers. "The vehicle hit a curb at 21st and Maple Avenue ultimately stopping the suspect vehicle. The driver of the vehicle exited and fled into the woods north of Maple. A THPD K9 unit was called to the scene, which led to the apprehension and arrest of the driver," Adamson said. Comments are closed.
