Indiana Central News Two Terre Haute women were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on the city's south side Thursday night for expired plates. Booked into the Vigo County jail: Driver- Jennifer L. Hinote, 40
Passenger - Ashley Waltermire, 32
A state trooper stopped the car near S. Eighth and Putnam Streets around 9 p.m. A K-9 was then requested, which indicated an alert on the vehicle.
According to Sgt. Matt Ames, of the Indiana State Police, a subsequent search of the car yielded methamphetamine, marijuana, legend drugs, synthetic marijuana (K-2) and drug paraphernalia. Ames added that the driver, Hinote, displayed signs of impairment, refused a chemical test. Waltermire, the passenger, reportedly was in possession of methamphetamine and had an active Vigo County warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Comments are closed.
