By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News A Terre Haute Police Department investigation netted two arrests after shots were fired at a local apartment complex Friday afternoon.
Officers responded to the Greenwood Manor apartments on S. 19th Street around 12:45 p.m. According to the report, an argument between two groups of people ended in shots fired. The suspects allegedly pointed a gun and then fired rounds at the ground before fleeing the scene. They were taken into custody a short time later in the area of SR 46 and Interstate 70. Indiana Central News A multi-agency investigation successfully intercepted a large package of methamphetamine delivered today and arrested a local man allegedly behind it. Robert Dean, 41, of Terre Haute, was taken into custody without incident and faces charges of dealing meth and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. According to the Terre Haute Polcie Department, the parcel contained about 20 pounds of meth, estimated to be worth more than $100,000 on the street. The Vigo County Drug Task Force and Indiana State Police worked together to conduct a controlled delivery of the package, according to the press release. |
