Indiana Central News An Indiana State University Police Department theft investigation is underway following multiple reports of bicycles stolen just weeks into the fall semester. According to a press release, more than 25 bicycles have been stolen from racks in and around the campus in Terre Haute. Some of the bikes were reportedly left unlocked, while other missing bikes have had their locks cut or pried off. The investigation has netted some arrests, however, one suspect remains at large. Police have provided a surveillance image of a white male, described as being approximately 5-feet and 6 to 10 -inches tall, with a thin build. Officials believe the suspect is connected to the theft of an expensive, high-end bicycle last week. He is a suspect in many other reported thefts on campus, according to the press release. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Indiana State University Police at 812-237-5555 and speak with Cpl. Dan Parmer or Officer Aaron Sloan.

Indiana Central News A Terre Haute Fire Department arson investigation is underway after a northside morning house fire. Firefighters were dispatched to the suspicious blaze at 2117 Locust St. No injuries were reported. The structure sustained heavy damage. A condemned notice was posted on the front door of the house. Officials ask that you call crimestoppers at (812) 238-STOP or the fire investigation division at (812) 244-2860 with information on the case. |
