UPDATE: Ryan Adamson, of the Terre Haute Police Department, said one person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition. Rocky Caddell, 42, of Bloomfield has been identified as the deceased victim in last night's fatal crash.

Details are few at this time, as emergency crews work a crash on S. Third Street tonight with a vehicle wrapped around a pole.

The Terre Haute Police Department and Terre Haute Fire Department responded to the area of S.Third Street and Washington Avenue to the crash around 10 p.m..

The silver passenger car is totaled.

Duke Energy crews remained at the scene repairing power lines that were down as a result of the crash. Street lights were not working, as officers directed traffic.

No information on that crash or the driver/occupants is available at this time. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be provided once it becomes available.

School children reportedly suffered only minor injuries this morning when a school bus was involved in a three-vehicle crash on the city's north side.

According to Public Information Ryan Adamson, of the Terre Haute Police Department, the Vigo County School Corp. bus driver was taken to a local hospital for non life threatening injuries.

The bus was enroute to school around 7 a.m., with several children on board.

Investigation revealed the semi truck turned in front of the bus, causing the bus to strike the semi. The bus then crashed into the pickup truck, Adamson said.

The Terre Haute Fire Department assisted at the scene.
